THE MUSEUM AESTHETIC style centers around the intentional curation of art and artifacts to create a deeper storyline about your connection. For me personally, museums provide a visual respite. They are a hiatus where I get to explore someone else’s creativity instead of being the creator. It allows me to connect to something bigger than me. This is an easy style for curating colour into a neutral environment, especially if you are leasing a commercial space or an apartment. It builds personality through the lens of art. Inheriting styles that may not fit your current dwelling is another reason this can work to your advantage. I have been unintentionally doing this since I was twelve years old, attempting to organize emotional and environmental chaos. If you find yourself drawn to pottery, art, or old furniture that perhaps does not fit your current design aesthetic, I can curate that into your storyline. I believe that if you are drawn to it, it has a story to tell. The museum aesthetic organizes art and artifacts into a cohesive dialogue that creates intrigue, sparks curiosity, and deepens your mystery.
